President Emmanuel Macron arrived at Rinas airport in Tirana around 19:30.
Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku came to meet him because Prime Minister Edi Rama was at the Berlin Process summit, which is nearing completion.
Macron
could not come earlier because of the events that have happened in France in
the last few days.
Macron will start his first official visit to Albania, this evening with
the presentation of the highest decoration of the Republic of France
"Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor" to the prominent Albanian
writer, Ismail Kadare, in a ceremony that will take place tonight at 20:00 at
the Palace of Brigades.
