President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated today (yesterday) that Ankara
would increase support for the international recognition of Kosovo, and he
emphasized that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina represented the path
to peace and stability in the region, Novosti writes.
Erdogan met with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in Istanbul, Anadolu reported.
He emphasized that the international community must act "united to
hold Israel accountable for war crimes", and Turkey continued its efforts
to secure a lasting ceasefire in the region and deliver humanitarian aid to the
Gaza Strip.
The Directorate of Communications of the Turkish Presidency stated that
Erdogan and Osmani discussed the latest developments in the relations between
Ankara and Pristina, regional and global issues, as well as Israel's attacks on
the Palestinians.
President Vjosa Osmani earlier today expressed gratitude to Turkey for its
support for peace and stability in the region.
