Palestinian factions announced today that they
have downed an Israeli intelligence drone over Khan Yunis. This development
comes amidst heightened tensions in the region.
A spokesperson for the factions, in an audio statement, declared, "We continue the battle of resilience in the war of extermination imposed on our unarmed people. We neutralized a special Zionist force that fortified itself in a building and achieved direct hits."
The
factions also addressed Israeli settlers, stating, "Netanyahu's call for
your imminent return to the Gaza envelope is an illusion." This statement
refers to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's recent announcement about the
gradual return of Israeli settlers to areas surrounding Gaza.
The Israeli
War Government confirmed plans for a phased return to settlements in the Gaza
envelope. They stated that some residents of Israeli communities north of the
Gaza Strip, evacuated since October 7th, would be able to return shortly as
military operations progress.
