European Union Ambassador David Geer will hand
over seven EU-funded ambulance vehicles to Skopje Emergency Services on
Wednesday.
The Delegation of the European Union supplied seven EU-funded ambulance vehicles to Skopje Emergency Services and Skopje Health center. The vehicles will transport people who are sick or injured to the hospitals in Skopje. The capital, has the largest both needs and population in the country and the donation will attenuate the shortage of vehicles.
This is the latest batch of EU assistance meant
to help the healthcare to provide better services to the citizens. Since 2021,
the Delegation of the European Union has provided medical imaging equipment
magnet resonance and computed tomography systems in eight hospitals across the
country. By ensuring that their use level will be as that in the EU Member
States, the medical imaging equipment will contribute to more timely
diagnostics, the EU Delegation said in a press release.
