Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, kicked off his visit to Cyprus amid his
diplomatic tour in the Middle East.
Blinken arrived in the city of Larnaca earlier today, Sunday, as he will meet with the country's president, Nikos Christodoulides, to thank him for his country's assistance in transporting Americans out of Israel, he is also expected to meet Cypriot Foreign Minister.
The US
government helped evacuate American citizens last month from Israel to Cyprus
by sea, a journey that lasted about 12 hours, according to an Egyptian report.
