Bulgaria is
among the 18 Nato countries that meet the criterion of allocating 2 per cent of
GDP to defence, Defence Minister Todor Tagarev said on February 15 in Brussels,
where he is participating on a meeting of the alliance’s defence ministers.

Eighteen
migrants from Austria and 14 detained in other EU countries were returned to
Bulgaria today, February 13, under the Dublin Regulation. Some of the migrants
arrived by charter flight.
26 agricultural organisations blocked the square in front of the Council of Ministers in Sofia on February 13. The main demand of the organisers is for the resignation of Minister of Agriculture, Kiril Vatev.

protests of the farmers in the country continued with full force today,

Within a month Bulgaria is expected to conclude an agreement with the US on
the future construction of the seventh and eighth units at Kozloduy Nuclear
Power Plant, said Energy Minister Rumen Radev, who explained that today he
received a mandate from the government to conclude the agreement.
The Nuclear Regulation Agency (NRA) has issued Kozloduy NPP with a permit to store fresh RWFA-type nuclear fuel produced by Westinghouse, the agency said on January 24.
The Three Seas Initiative is of strategic importance for Europe and the world, said Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mariya Gabriel, who took part in the panel discussion "Three Seas as a driver of European growth" within the 54th edition of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on January 16.
