The mass evacuation of Nagorno-Karabakh’s ethnic Armenian population has been practically completed, outgoing authorities in Stepanakert indicated late on Sunday after at least 100,000 local residents fled to Armenia, refusing to live under Azerbaijani rule.
Sixty-eight
people have been confirmed dead as a result of the fuel depot blast near
Stepanakert, Artsakh’s Human Rights Defender informs. Only 21 bodies have been
identified.

The head of the Organization of
Turkic States has emphasized that the Karabakh region is part
of Azerbaijan and the Turkic World.
Azerbaijan sent troops backed by artillery strikes into Armenian-controlled
territories of Nagorno-Karabakh on Tuesday (19 September) in an attempt to
bring the breakaway region to heel by force, raising the threat of a new war
with its neighbour Armenia.
The United States is deeply concerned by Azerbaijan’s military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh and calls on Azerbaijan to cease these actions immediately, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.
